This project about up-cycling leather. The idea of the project was to design a collection of bags that has minimal impact on the environment. In the process, there have been used upcycling methods. Old leather garments are used to create new value in things that are considered as waste. As an outer material, there has been used consumer waste which is old leather jackets, and as an inner lining, there has been used production waste, which is leftover from ECOO shoe and sneaker making. The circular economy principles are used in designing the collection, which is not only using waste as a resource but also considering products' full life cycle. Therefore the materials are easily separated for recycling after the consumers use it. The design is made to have as minimal details, furthermore, it's missing a classical lining which later on makes the separation and recycling easier.
